Recypark Demets

Recypark Demets (Anderlecht): opening hours, address and accepted waste

Recypark Demets is the newest Bruxelles-Propreté recycling park, opened on 8 October 2024 at Quai Fernand Demets 22 in Anderlecht. It is open to every Brussels resident and takes trailers and tall vehicles, but it is closed on Sundays and Mondays and shuts at 13:45 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. When those hours do not fit a clear-out of several loads, we empty the home in one visit at a fixed price.

Where is Recypark Demets in Anderlecht?

Recypark Demets is at Quai Fernand Demets 22, 1070 Anderlecht, on the quay along the canal. Dutch speakers know the address as Fernand Demetskaai 22.

It answers most searches for a "Recypark Anderlecht" or "déchetterie Anderlecht": it is the only Recypark in that commune, and every resident of the Brussels-Capital Region may use it. Professionals whose registered office is in Brussels are accepted as well.

Bulky Waste Brussels is not part of Bruxelles-Propreté and does not run this site. The details below come from the Bruxelles-Propreté Recypark page (opens in a new tab) and the agency's announcement of the opening, both checked on 2 October 2026.

Recypark Demets: the newest Recypark in Brussels

Recypark Demets opened on 8 October 2024, which makes it the most recent addition to the six-site network. Bruxelles-Propreté announced the inauguration on 5 October 2024 under the headline that there was now "one more" Recypark.

The opening news listed what was new for Brussels residents: containers for mattresses, nitrous-oxide canisters and lithium batteries, and a reuse area. It also worded the volume rule as 3 m³ per day and per vehicle, slightly more precise than the general Recypark page.

Recypark Demets opening hours: closed Sunday and Monday

Recypark Demets has its own timetable, shown in the hours panel, and it differs from the standard Recypark hours in two ways. It never opens on Sunday or Monday, and on Tuesday and Wednesday it closes at 13:45 instead of in the evening.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday are its full days, from 09:00 to 16:15. Bruxelles-Propreté publishes no quiet times for Demets, so plan for a queue on Saturday and keep in mind that the gate can close to new arrivals 30 minutes before closing at busy times.

Trailers and vehicles over 1.85 m at Recypark Demets

Recypark Demets accepts city cars towing a trailer and vehicles over 1.85 m high, the two cases that Buda and Sud turn away. The one combination it does not take is a vehicle over 1.85 m that is also towing a trailer: that may only go to Recypark Humanité.

The Demets page adds that owners of a double-axle trailer should preferably use Recypark Humanité in Forest. All vehicles must stay under 3.5 tonnes gross weight. One caveat: the page for professionals sends trailers and tall vehicles to Humanité only, so a company van with a trailer should not count on Demets.

What you can bring to Recypark Demets

Recypark Demets accepts the regional list of sorted waste, from a chest freezer to bagged tiles, and adds a few streams of its own. The standard list, with the uncharged streams, €3.03 items and rubble bags, is on our page about what to bring to a Recypark.

  • Nitrous-oxide canisters: accepted, and they must be empty.
  • Lithium batteries: accepted, as announced at the opening.
  • Mattresses: their own container; they must be completely dry.
  • Flat glass and food waste: both have a container at Demets.
  • Asbestos: shown on the site plan as "available soon", but still refused, so do not bring any.

Recypark Demets closures and holiday hours

Besides every Sunday and Monday, Recypark Demets closes on 1 January, the third Sunday of September, 1 November, 11 November and 25 December. On 24 and 31 December it closes at 15:00 if the date falls on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. On 15 August 2026, a public holiday, it opened at its normal hours.

Skip the trip to Recypark Demets: we collect from your home

With Recypark Demets shut on Sunday and Monday and closing at 13:45 on Tuesday and Wednesday, a working week leaves few chances to get there, let alone the four or five runs a whole flat needs. We clear it in one visit instead: a crew of two with a box truck carries the contents out of your home and loads everything.

The price is set from your photos before the collection, never as an hourly rate, and small clearances start from €250. Our overview of bulky waste collection prices lists the ranges for a room, a flat or a house, house clearance in Brussels covers emptying a whole home, and how we collect bulky waste in Brussels walks through the booking. Anderlecht residents can also use the Recypark Mobile, scheduled there on 12–16 and 26–30 October 2026.
