Where is Recypark Sud in Forest?
Recypark Sud is at Boulevard de la Deuxième Armée Britannique 676, 1190 Forest. The official description places it opposite house number 671, at the crossing with Boulevard de l'Humanité. The Dutch address is Brits Tweedelegerlaan 676.
All residents of the Brussels-Capital Region may use it, and Drogenbos residents may come by car. Professionals with a registered office in the Region are also accepted.
We are an independent collection service and have no connection with Bruxelles-Propreté. Every rule on this page comes from the Bruxelles-Propreté Recypark page (opens in a new tab), which we last checked on 2 October 2026.
Recypark Sud, Zuid or Forest: one site, several names
Recypark Sud and Recypark Zuid are the same place: Sud is the French name and Zuid the Dutch one, both meaning south. Forest itself is Vorst in Dutch, so Dutch sources place it in 1190 Brussel (Vorst).
The confusion starts when people search for "Recypark Forest" or "container park Forest", because Forest has two Recyparks at the same crossroads. Recypark Humanité (Humaniteit in Dutch) is the other one, with its own entrance on Boulevard de l'Humanité. Make sure your satnav is set to the right one before you queue.
Recypark Sud vs Recypark Humanité: which one to choose
Choose Recypark Sud for an ordinary car or small van, and Recypark Humanité for anything with a trailer or taller than 1.85 m. Opening hours, the 3 m³ daily allowance and the list of accepted waste are the same at both.
| Recypark Sud | Recypark Humanité | |
|---|---|---|
| Address | Bd de la Deuxième Armée Britannique 676 | Bd de l'Humanité 350 |
| Trailers and vehicles over 1.85 m | Not accepted | Accepted, including both together |
| Drogenbos residents | By car only | Accepted, also with a trailer or tall vehicle |
| Quietest times | Tue and Wed 14:00–20:00, Thu 15:00–16:00 | Tuesday to Thursday |
| Flat glass and food waste | Yes | Yes |
Why the two Forest Recyparks have different vehicle rules
Bruxelles-Propreté publishes the rule without explaining it, but the effect is clear: in practice Sud is a site for cars, and anything bigger is pointed to Recypark Humanité on the other side of the junction or to Recypark Demets in Anderlecht. Arriving at Sud with a trailer means turning round and joining a second queue.
Recypark Sud opening hours
Recypark Sud keeps the standard Recypark hours listed in the panel above, seven days a week. Monday and Sunday are afternoon-only, from 14:00, and Tuesday and Wednesday run from 09:00 to 20:15.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday end at 16:15. If the site is crowded, the entrance closes to newcomers 30 minutes earlier than the official closing time.
When Recypark Sud is quietest
Recypark Sud is quietest on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and evenings, from 14:00 to 20:00, and on Thursday between 15:00 and 16:00. These are the most precise quiet hours Bruxelles-Propreté gives for any of its sites.
In practice, a Tuesday at 17:00 is a good slot for a car boot of cardboard and a broken chair. Saturday is the day to avoid if you can, since Sud closes at 16:15 then and has no quiet window.
What you can bring to Recypark Sud
Recypark Sud accepts the full regional range of sorted waste, up to 3 m³ a day without charge and with a flat €121 incl. VAT above that. Doors, frames, plasterboard and bagged rubble are charged per piece or per bag, as listed on our page about Recypark accepted and refused waste.
Sud is one of the three sites with a flat glass container and one of the four with a food waste container. Remember that rubble is refused loose: bring it in bags of up to 20 kg.
- Flat glass and mirrors: their own container, never the bottle bank.
- Tyres: up to 5, removed from their rims.
- Paint: up to 30 litres, in closed and labelled pots.
Recypark Sud closures
Recypark Sud does not open on 1 January, 1 November, 11 November, 25 December or the third Sunday of September. Closing time on 24 and 31 December is 18:00, or 15:00 when the day is a Thursday, Friday or Saturday.
Skip the trip to Recypark Sud: we collect from your home
Recypark Sud is only useful if you own a car, have time before 16:15 on a Saturday and can lift everything into the containers yourself, trip after trip. For a cellar, an attic or a garage holding years of storage, our paid clearance removes all three conditions: two people come with a box truck and empty the space in one visit, whether that is a basement under a Saint-Gilles townhouse or an attic in Forest.
Send photos and your commune, and a fixed price comes back before any date is set; small clearances start from €250 and usually stay within €250–600. Our page on clearing a garage, attic or cellar in Brussels explains how such a job runs, the indicative prices for bulky waste collection cover bigger jobs such as a whole flat, and our four-step collection process shows what happens on the day. If you do drive, remember that Recypark Buda in the north keeps the same hours as Sud.
Recypark Sud: frequently asked questions
Is Recypark Sud the same as Recypark Zuid?
Yes. Sud is the French name and Zuid the Dutch name of the same Recypark at Boulevard de la Deuxième Armée Britannique 676 in Forest.
Can I take a trailer to Recypark Sud?
No. Trailers and vehicles over 1.85 m high are sent to Recypark Humanité or Recypark Demets. Humanité is across the same junction, so it is the quickest switch.
What is the best time to go to Recypark Sud?
Tuesday or Wednesday between 14:00 and 20:00, or Thursday between 15:00 and 16:00, according to Bruxelles-Propreté. Remember the gate may close to new arrivals 30 minutes before closing time.
Can people from Drogenbos use Recypark Sud?
Yes, but only by car. Drogenbos residents with a trailer or a vehicle over 1.85 m must use Recypark Humanité.
Can you collect bulky waste in Forest instead of me going to Recypark Sud?
Yes, when there is enough for a clearance: a cellar, an attic, a room's worth or a whole home. We work in Forest and the other 18 communes, carrying everything out, at a fixed price from your photos that starts at €250.
