Recypark Mobile in Brussels: how the mobile recycling point works

The Recypark Mobile is a temporary drop-off point that Bruxelles-Propreté sets up for 3 to 10 days in volunteer communes, every autumn and spring. Residents of the host commune can bring up to 3 m³ of bulky waste without charge, with their identity card, but large appliances, construction waste and tyres are refused. When a whole flat or cellar has to go, fridge included, we clear it in one visit at a fixed price.

What is the Recypark Mobile in Brussels?

The Recypark Mobile is a travelling version of the Recypark: for a few days, Bruxelles-Propreté sets up containers in a commune so residents can drop off furniture, small appliances and household chemicals close to home. It has run since 2015, in partnership with communes that volunteer to host it.

Each operation lasts between 3 and 10 days, and the campaigns take place in autumn and in spring. It is open only to the residents of the commune where it stands.

This page is written by Bulky Waste Brussels, a private collection company that has no part in running it. The dates and rules come from the official Recypark Mobile page (opens in a new tab) (in French), checked on 2 October 2026.

Which Brussels communes get a Recypark Mobile

Bruxelles-Propreté describes the Recypark Mobile as a service run with 14 volunteer communes, while its news item of 31 August 2026 announced the autumn 2026 campaign in 13 Brussels communes. The two figures may reflect the scheme as a whole versus one season's list, so go by the dates published for your commune.

The autumn 2026 schedule covers Anderlecht, Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, Evere, Forest, Ganshoren, Ixelles, Jette, Koekelberg, Molenbeek, Saint-Gilles, Schaerbeek, Watermael-Boitsfort and Woluwe-Saint-Pierre. For Bruxelles-Ville and Etterbeek, the official page refers residents to their own commune websites. We collect bulky waste in all 19, as our overview of the Brussels communes shows.

Who can use the Recypark Mobile

The Recypark Mobile is open only to residents of the commune hosting it, and you must show your identity card. Someone living in Uccle therefore cannot use the Recypark Mobile in Forest, even though the communes are neighbours.

It is meant for private households: waste of professional origin is refused. Tradespeople and companies have to use the professional rules at the permanent Recyparks instead.

Recypark Mobile opening hours and the 3 m³ limit

A Recypark Mobile is typically open from 9:00 to 18:00, with last entry at 17:45. Because these are the typical hours, confirm them for your commune on the official schedule.

You may bring up to 3 m³ of bulky waste without charge. The limit is strict: a vehicle loaded with more than 3 m³ is refused entry, rather than charged a flat fee as at Buda, Demets, Humanité and Sud. Household chemicals are capped too: at most 30 litres of coating products such as paint or varnish, and at most 5 litres of other chemicals.

What you can bring to the Recypark Mobile

The Recypark Mobile accepts household furniture, small appliances and a short list of other household waste. Wardrobes must be taken apart before you bring them.

  • Furniture: wardrobes taken apart, tables, armchairs, mirrors and parasols
  • Small household appliances and multimedia equipment, such as a microwave, a printer or a speaker
  • Tools and hard plastics
  • Small quantities of household chemicals, within the 30 L and 5 L limits
  • Clean, white, non-food polystyrene
  • Flat glass
  • Energy-saving bulbs, LED lamps and fluorescent tubes

What the Recypark Mobile does not accept

The Recypark Mobile refuses large appliances, construction waste, tyres, asbestos and anything that belongs in your coloured bags. This list is longer than at a permanent Recypark, so check it before you load up.

  • Bag waste of every colour (white, orange, yellow, blue and green) and glass bottles
  • Large appliances, such as a washing machine, an oven or a fridge
  • Solvents, acids, bases, mercury and syringes
  • Construction waste: plaster, bricks, windows, doors, beams, sinks, roofing and planks
  • Soil, sand, coal and soot
  • Gas bottles, laboratory products and radioactive products
  • Car parts and fuel
  • All tyres
  • Waste of professional origin
  • Asbestos

Where refused items go instead

A fridge or washing machine can go to a permanent Recypark. When it is part of emptying a whole flat, our crew carries it out with everything else; our page on flat clearance when you move out of Brussels has the details. Doors, sinks and bagged rubble can only go to a permanent Recypark, where they are charged per piece or per bag.

Recypark Mobile vs a permanent Recypark

The Recypark Mobile is closer to home, but it runs for only a few days a year and takes a narrower range of waste than a permanent Recypark. The table compares the two.

Skip the wait for the Recypark Mobile: we collect from your home

The Recypark Mobile only works if it happens to be in your commune that week, you can take a few hours off and your load stays under 3 m³. A flat emptied at the end of a lease, or a cellar filled over twenty years, rarely fits. We clear it in one visit instead: two people with a box truck carry everything out of your home, fridges and washing machines included, and load it on the spot.

The price is fixed from your photos before anything is collected, with no hourly rate and nothing added on the day. Small clearances start from €250, and our bulky waste and clearance prices show the ranges for a studio, a flat or a family house; for emptying a whole home, see house clearance in Brussels. The way our collection works is set out step by step. If you still want to drive, the six permanent Recyparks in Brussels are open all year, including Recypark Buda seven days a week.

Frequently asked questions

Do you pay anything at the Recypark Mobile?

Not for bulky waste within the limit: residents of the host commune can bring up to 3 m³ without charge. Vehicles carrying more than 3 m³ are refused entry.

Can I use the Recypark Mobile in another commune?

No. Each Recypark Mobile is open only to residents of the commune hosting it, and you must show your identity card. If yours is not on the list, use a permanent Recypark.

Can I bring a fridge or washing machine to the Recypark Mobile?

No. Large appliances such as fridges, ovens and washing machines are refused at the Recypark Mobile. Take them to a permanent Recypark or, if the whole flat is being cleared, have our crew carry them out with the rest at a fixed price agreed from photos.

When is the next Recypark Mobile in Brussels?

The autumn 2026 campaign runs until 30 October 2026, with the last operations in Anderlecht and Berchem-Sainte-Agathe. The next campaign is in spring; the official Bruxelles-Propreté page publishes the dates per commune.

Can I bring old doors or bricks to the Recypark Mobile?

No. All construction waste is refused, including doors, windows, beams, sinks, plaster and bricks. Those go to a permanent Recypark, where they cost €3.03 per piece or per bag.
